Frederick Research Centre is one of the most important research organisations in Cyprus. It was established in 1995 to create a solid base for the development of scientific research activities of Cypriot and foreign scientists. The research centre aims mainly in promoting scientific research and undertaking and conducting basic and applied research in various fields, to offer advisory services to people, businesses, organisations and the government, to encourage participation in research projects and the development of research proposals, to coordinate and participate in the implementation of research projects and create cooperation with other national and international research centres and universities for the implementation of research work. The Centre has participated in more than 50 research projects with external funding, most of which it was leading, as well as in smaller projects providing advisory services. A significant part of the projects concern science and technology, as well as the environment, education, management, economics and social sciences.
